Set in an alternate history version of 1910, Sand introduces you to a world where humanity has achieved remarkable advancements in space exploration, thanks to the discovery of new and powerful energy sources. Among the pioneering nations, the Austro-Hungarian Empire rose to prominence as the leaders in interplanetary conquest. However, tragedy struck when a mysterious ecological disaster befell planet Sophie, forcing the empire’s settlers to evacuate, leaving behind a once-thriving world teeming with resources. Motivated by desperation, the resilient and desperate Galicians are driven to seek out hidden riches within the barren wastelands of Sophie. Armed with determination to rectify historical injustices and claim what they believe is rightfully theirs, they resort to semi-legal means of reaching the fallen planet, risking it all for a chance to profoundly change their lives.
