The game is still set on Fabletown in the 1980s – a fictional community of characters from fairy tales where they move in and try to blend with human society. The game’s main protagonist is the town’s sheriff, Bigby – short for Big Bad Wolf. If you’re not familiar to the franchise, the reason why he doesn’t look like a furred animal is because of what is called Glamour – a substance Fables have to wear to make them look like normal human beings.
The Wolf Among Us 2 picks up six months after the events of season one. It’s winter in New York City and a new case threatens to cross the line between Fabletown and the NYPD. How you choose to approach it could determine the future of the Fable community.
The Wolf Among Us 2 will remain faithful to the episodic release format of the first season and retain some elements that are consistent with the original game – but it is also simultaneously starting over with a fresh team under the Telltale banner, who are using Unreal instead of the notoriously buggy Telltale Tool engine to further explore the world of Fables.
